Our Story
Begin Again Behavioral Health & Consulting was informally founded in 2022 by Anna Karen Arwine, LPC-S (Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor) as she began to clinically supervise LPC-Associates. In the Spring of 2024 while at a crossroads in her professional career and with a grossly supportive push from her husband, Anna decided it was time to take the next step in her career and begin again.
Begin Again got its name from a song title in Anna's favorite Taylor Swift Album, Red. The words are a personal daily reminder that it's okay to feel the feelings, to be too much for others, to be who you are, to feel like you have failed so long as you also get back up, own your truth, and begin again.

Anna is a North Texas native and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas Tech University (Wreck 'em Tech!) in 2012. After graduation she moved back home to start a family and get married. Anna went on to graduate with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University in 2015.

Anna's career quickly took off after graduation in 2015. She spent the first 10 years of her career learning, growing, and enhancing her clinical and leadership skills in a variety of settings. Anna has worked as a front line staff, director, and executive for small privately owned companies, start ups, and Fortune 500 companies in outpatient, Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient, Inpatient and Residential settings.

Begin Again is a culmination of all the mentors, supervisors, teams, but most importantly, the clients Anna learned from through the first decade of her career and all the times she watched them "Begin Again".

"I'm just a millennial wife and mom who doubles as a counselor. My favorite color is black and my favorite plans are cancelled ones. I would rather be in my pjs at home watching Dateline with my dogs."
Therapy is a relationship and relationships are HARD.
Trust is key in a therapeutic relationship and makes up for 70% of clinical success. Clinical approach is important but clinical trust is vital.
I am a clinical clepto and take strategies from an array of therapeutic approaches. At my core I am a solution focused clinician with sprinkles of anything else that works/may work for each client.
