Studies show that the more consistent someone is with their treatment, the better the outcomes. Therapy typically occurs every week, however, this can vary by case.
-
A good rule of thumb is 3-6 months minimum of consistent attendance and commitment. You get out of it what you put into it.

-
What should I expect?
-
It is expected to be nervous; it would be a bit concerning if you weren't. Therapy is a relationship like any other and relationships take time, commitment, trust. Luckily, for you, unlike other relationships it is our job to provide a safe empathetic non judgmental space that will allow you to be your authentic self.

-
Are there specific things I need to do for a virtual session?
-
Have a laptop, iPad or tablet to use for your session. This allows for the best experience for both you and the therapist.
-
Ensure the camera is on the entire time with your face in frame.
-
Ensure you are in a private/secure space. I.E. alone in the room/house where others are not coming in/out, not driving, not in a vehicle with others. Many clients find that using headphones help with sound.
-
If you have technology issues call/email your therapist and wait for a response from them.
